Peace Camp 2024 Registration FAQ

Yes! Visiting camp is a great way to see what Peace Camp is about before committing to a 5-day retreat. Coordinate your friend’s visit with the Registration Bodhi. A suggested donation of $30 per person, per day can be offered in advance or at camp. Guests will be required to take a rapid Covid 19 test the day of their visit either at home or onsite and have a negative result to participate in camp.

Yes, but to a lesser degree than in the recent past. Covid 19 policies and procedures are reviewed and updated prior to camp. All campers age 5 years and over must complete a Covid 19 rapid test the same day that they arrive to camp and must have a negative result. Testing can occur at home or onsite so long as it is performed on the same day. Masks are welcomed but not required. Campers are encouraged to have a mask tucked away in case something changes. Vaccinations are encouraged.

Peace Camp is a 5-day organized Buddhist retreat in the woods with a daily agenda for campers of all ages. Campers are expected to fully participate in all aspects of camp as they are able. This means that campers of all ages attend what we call “All Sangha” events such as Morning Circle and Evening Service. It means that children attend age-appropriate counselor groups when offered and adults attend workshops, activities and camp feedback meetings. And all campers contribute to the everyday operations of camp including cooking, cleaning, set-up, and breakdown. It means that campers ask questions like, “How can I help?” because many hands make light work.

All-camp activities run daily starting at 7:30 am and ending at 9 pm with optional activities scheduled at select times throughout the day. Explore the Peace Camp handbook for detailed information about the camp.
